Our Beginnings
Birth
Koshish was born in a small apartment at Malad West, Mumbai in 1983 out of the vision of Late Dr. Ajay Kothari, to promote aid for the deaf and mute children. Late Sanjeev Kumar, renowned actor christened the name- KOSHISH was born. 30 deaf and mute children were admitted.
And Now
Koshish embarked on its most ambitious journey in its 18th year to bring its entire scattered family under one roof. Centre for Care of Deaf, a 20000 sqft Centre was built in Malad East, Mumbai in 2001. The vision of Late Dr. Ajay Kothari saw the family strength go to 80 students.
